A picture is worth a thousand words and the photos of “El Karim” depict a very unique vessel that encapsulates a world of luxury and an exotic lifestyle that could be yours!

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the magnificent interior of “El Karim”. Designed and built in France in the late 70’s for the Aga Khan. The beautiful carved panels were created by Moroccan craftsmen and made from Lebanese Cedar. Inlaid with silks and hung with tassles and cushions the saloon has leather seating and occupies the entire width of the vessel. A beautiful polished timber floor lies at your feet and is draped here and there with oriental rugs whilst overhead is a large traditional sky light allowing light to flood the interior.

The cabins are similarly luxurious and all served by large bathrooms with carved clam basins. A large Queen suite occupies the bow and there is a double on the starboard side and twin bunk cabin on the port side. The aft of the vessel houses a large Queen also with its own bathroom.

At the bottom of the companionway sits the full size navigation station to starboard and a comprehensive galley opposite with good sized refrigeration, oven / stove, loads of storage and bench space and a microwave oven plus hot and cold water through a mixer tap.

On deck “El Karim” carries a ketch rig with main and mizzen in lazyjacks and a furling genoa. The cockpit is high and dry and affords the helmsman a good view all around. A hard dodger provides good all weather protection.

After circumnavigating the globe and cruising the Pacific and coastal Australia the owner is looking to pass the custodianship of “El Karim” on to the next lucky owner. This is an opportunity to indulge your fantasies and spend 1001 Arabian nights in exotic ports – even if they are local cruising spots you will feel like you are in a fairytale every time you step on board.
