Accommodation :
The Western Star has undergone a major transformation but has none the less maintained all the toughness, strength and sea keeping capabilities that were essential to her during her fishing years. Her main fish and ice hold has been converted to accommodate 8 clients, guests, friends or family in comfort. The crew’s quarters which originally slept 4 has now been converted to accommodate 2 with en-suite shower and toilet facilities. In total, there are four toilets aboard and three showers.

In addition, Western Star has been used as a filming platform for a television documentary and as a dive boat. Her large clear decks and a low free board together with her ability to remain over a dive site for extended periods make her most suitable for this purpose.

With a fully equipped galley including cooker, oven hob extractor, 2 fridges, 2 freezers, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave all operating from a 24kva generator at 240volts, living on board is like a home from home.
