BENETEAU SWIFT TRAWLER 34

Visible à NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (UNITED KINGDOM)

Remarks :
The Beneteau Swift Trawler 34 is arguably one of the most successful boat ever built by the French giant. Even the notoriously hard to please MBM gave it 9/10 when they boat tested the model soon after the launch in 2009.  Its success is the boats broad appeal to both power boaters and sailors alike, and many "raggies" moved over to the dark side with this boat as a means of continuing to boat later in life. The volume inside is vast and allows extended periods away cruising. This is a couples boat with occasional guests and family staying. The boat can sleep 6 with ease.
Large well-equipped galley, huge heads with shower and electric toilet and a massive flybridge make this one of the most spacious 34 footers on the market today.
Single Cummins diesel capable of 24 knots but equally happy at 12. For the more economically minded, this boat will burn a measly 1 litre per mile at 7 knots giving a range of 800 miles.
The boat is a joy to handle and is comfortable in rough seas. Berthing is a dawdle thanks to the bow and stern thrusters.
Excellent navigation package with touch screen Raymarine chart plotters at both helms, autopilot controls, AIS Radar and DSC VHF radios.
Canvas includes full cockpit enclosure, flybridge dodgers, helm cover and flybridge bimini.

Accommodation :
The interior design is down to a man called Pierre Frutschi. He was on fire the day he came up with the layout, and the result is a comfortable, functional, practical 6-berth cruiser with excellent storage. The saloon is an extension of the cockpit thanks to the triple sliding glazed door. This opens up the saloon and lets lots of light and air into the boat. The saloon table is not fixed and can be utilised in or out of the cockpit. The internal extending leave and the use of folding director style chairs are ideal for both planned or impromptu dinner parties. The saloon settee, a good reason to buy this boat on its own, is a double bed and can accommodate the unexpected guest who has perhaps had a bit much wine. A pop on privacy curtain separates this area from the rest of the boat to ensure privacy. Flat screen tv in saloon opposite settee.
There is a large galley to port with plentiful work surfaces and deep cupboard storage. Double stainless steel sink with hot and cold water mixer tap. 2-burner gas hob with a gas oven built in below, Perishables are stored in a 130Lt front opening fridge incorporated into the helm seat.
Opposite the galley is the helm position with double sliding helm seat and sliding door to starboard walkway.
Two steps down to the main accommodation area. To port is the guest cabin with 6'1" headroom and 6'1" bunk beds. This is a great cabin, and those with a young family or grand kids will love it. It is also a good storage area and has good cupboard storage. Ventilation is from an opening deck hatch and portholes.
Opposite the guest room is the large heads compartment. There is an electric flush marine toilet with holding tank, Sink with cupboards above and below, mirror and a separate shower faucet on a bracket. The shower curtain covers all the wood minimising wipe up and damage. Automatic shower pump out. Opening ports and deck hatch for ventilation.
In the bow is the large owner's cabin. This features a double berth with his and hers bedside lockers. Additional storage from a full depth wardrobe to starboard and a deep shelving unit to port. Additional storage beneath the berth. Flat screen tv opposite the berth.
All cabins have marine mattresses resistant to damp and mould. Each cabin is fitted with deck head and reading lights.
The boat is kept warm and dry thanks to the Webasto hot air system.
